Thursday: EPIA Town Hall meeting on crime and public safety

Our regularly scheduled Town Hall meeting for the month of May will focus on public safety in our community. A late-night shooting in Angelino Heights and a pedestrian fatality on Echo Park Avenue have raised concerns about security and traffic safety.

At Thursday’s Town Hall meeting, Richard Reyes from CD1, Oliver DelGado from CD13, Senior Lead Officer Ford from Rampart, Senior Lead Officer Hill from Northeast Division, and Darin Williams from Select Patrol will be present. They will address these specific issues and to offer ideas on moving forward to improve public safety and deal with issues like cameras, speed humps, stop signs, and what constitutes a crosswalk.

All are welcome! Bring yourself and your neighbors, and join us on Thursday, May 3 at 7:00 pm, Barlow Hospital, located at 2000 Stadium Way, in Williams Hall.

New to the EPIA? During our town hall meetings, which are held on the first Thursday of each month, we discuss issues affecting our neighborhood, including the Echo Park Lake rehab project, new Echo Park businesses, land use issues, crime and public safety, amongst other issues. All stakeholders are welcome to attend!
